World Card Making Day - share what you create!

World Card Making Day is Saturday 1 October (tomorrow!!!)

What a great day for card makers to come together.
As two card maker addicts my BFF and I will be doing some cyber crafting so we can share the day with each other.

I'd love to see what you create for WCMD and if you could link up and share your creations below that would be fantastic!!! I'm sure there will be others who will want to have a peek to.

This isn't a challenge but just a chance for us all to show off and share in something that we love :)

There are just a few rules
  • Link your post, not your whole blog.
  • Your project must be created for World Card Making Day.
  • Please don't use your link as advertising.
  • I reserve the right to remove links that do not comply with the above guidelines.

I've got the linky tool open for 9 days to give you time to do your posts ect.

Share the love and go check out each others creations!!

Enjoy WCMD

After party.....

My gosh have I had a busy few days!!

The party was a great success but wouldn't have been with out the huge help of my BBF. I was so lucky she came up a few days before the party and was able to help me out with so much preparation. (I was hoping that we would have some time to craft but unfortunately we ran out of time - insert sad face)

I must say I was totally spoiled with lots of Stampin' Up! products, a Oroton handbag and scarf (both in pink!), bunches of flowers, Royal Albert Vase, Royal Doulton lady and quite a few pieces of stunning jewellery - all of which I will treasure forever.

One of the main presents I received was from my closest friends who put in for me to buy a lovely piece of jewelry.

BFF made the card for every one to sign and the matching money wallet - aren't they just stunning??? (and of course in my fave colour!)

I was overwhelmed with their generosity and I feel so honored to have such wonderful friends and family!!!

I'll be back soon with some pictures of the party :)

Absent Blogger....

Sorry All that I've been absent for a little while. I've had every intention of posting but time has just got away from me.

You see I'm having a special birthday on Sunday so this means a big party is in store for tonight!!! I've been madly rushing around for the past week or so trying to get everything organised. I've got a few friends who have flown in from interstate over the past few days including BFF.
I'm so excited to see her and I'm soooo glad she is here helping me to organise a few last minute things.

Hope you are all having a fantastic weekend!!!

I'll be back in a few days with some pictures of what I've been up to.

Seam binding Lurve!

Not sure if anyone else has this problem - I'm totally in loooooove with seam binding!!

I really have to stop my self from using it on every card I make and remind myself that I do own many other types of ribbon.

Here is a quick picture of a handful of Seam binding I received just recently.........

........ oh that gets my heart pumping!!!

Happy Tuesday :)

Ribbon Storage

Well I had so much fun using my new power tool that I decided to make something else........
I was in much need of some storage for my ribbon so off to the local hardware store I went.

I searched high and low for all the materials I needed, headed home and whipped this up quite quickly!!!

It took longer to paint it than it did to build!!

I've got quite a bit more ribbon to put on here but the ribbon isn't on reels, so if you've got any spare reels sing out and I'll take them off your hands!

I'd love to know what kind of ribbon storage you use, so leave a comment and let me know!

Happy HUMP day :)

Happy Father's Day!!!!

I've just had the best Father's Day with my Dad! It was just him and I hanging out together, him helping me with a project, eating, chilling out and watching the football. We tried to think back to when it had just been the two of us hanging out and we couldn't remember.....

Dad's a big NRL fan and his favourite team is the Brisbane Broncos. They played today and while we couldn't be there in person we had a great time watching it on TV. One of his favourite players is retiring at the end of this season and Dad was thrilled to watch one of his last games - even better they won!!

So when I was making his Father’s Day card I couldn’t go past making it in the colours of his favourite team. I’ve also used the Just Add Ink sketch this week for inspiration.

Here is the sketch

Happy Father's Day Dad - I've enjoyed spending every minute of today with you!!!!
