Goodness it's been a while since I've posted here!! Sorry :( time seems to have just flown by.
The craft and collectables fair went well (not as good as the one at the beginning of the year) but I'm happy that I got to show off some of the cool Christmas tags you can make with Stampin UP! products. The little tags I made up just flew out the door!
I haven't been crafting much since then as my mind has been focused on the day job, Christmas and all the dinners, drinks and parties that come with it!!!
I just love this time of year but it doesn't leave much time for crafting unfortunately!!
I saw this great sign outside of Lorna Jane yesterday - love it!
Hopefully I might get some crafting done soon so I'll have something to show you!
In the mean time I do have post over at The Stamp Spot today showing you some ideas on how to use Washi Tape, so pop over and check it out.
I bought these beautiful peony roses from a local market for only $10!!! When I got them they were still all closed up and they looked like balls of silk. In these pictures they have only just started to open up.
I've been busy this week making cards for a market that's on next weekend. I'll post the details later in the week so in case your in Brisbane you can come along!
The flirtatious fabric was a must have from the current Stampin' UP! catalog when it came out - it was top of my list!!!! But I've been to scared to cut it and have not wanted to use it (just in case). I'm sure you all have the hording problem I have when it comes to paper craft goodies!!!
So I finally took the plunge and made the first cut!!!!!
In this card I wanted the fabric to take center stage so I haven't put much else on there.
Has anyone else used the fabric from the SU catty??
If you have I'd love to see how you have used it, leave a link to your project in the comments.
Friday afternoon is the best time of the week - the longest time till work again on Monday :)
I've used Very Vanilla, Cherry Cobbler and I accidentally used Pink Pirouette instead of Blushing Bride - OPPS!
If you need any details for this card please just email me.
Here is the colour combo And the sketch I've organised a High Tea at my work today to celebrate Melbourne Cup - are you doing anything?? I can only imagine how crazy it must be in Melbourne at the races today!!! (Think I'm glad I'm just in the office) Well what ever you are doing I hope you enjoy it!!!
Today I've created a card using the layout from Just Add Ink and the colour combo from The Play Date Cafe. It's the Play Date's 2nd anniversary challenge this week - I don't often get to play along with their challenges as much as I would like to. I really love the inspiration photos that accompany the colour combo this week!!!!!
I think these colours make a pretty feminine card (with out using any pink!!)
If you want any details about this card just shoot me an email.
Here is the Sketch (I've used it on its side)
And here is the colour combo
PS I saw the Queen today - not very close BUT I still saw her!!!!
I'm having a few ladies over tomorrow for a crafty afternoon!! I'm super excited :)
I really enjoy sharing my love for paper craft with others!
Since we are getting closer to Christmas I thought we'd make a Christmas card. I've CASED Kristina's card from here. As soon as I saw her card I knew I had to try and recreate it - it's just lovely!! And it's also fairly easy for the lady's to try.
This card also fits in with The Paper Players challenge this week of a Christmas theme with the colours of red and green. So I'm linking up there.
If you want any details about this card just email me.
Only 24hrs till everyone arrives for my crafty afternoon - YAY!
Ok so here are another few cards that I created on WCMD for the Embellish colour challenge. They also had the challenge of using circles.... I think Balloons are close enough :)
Pals Paper Arts also have the challenge to use heat embossing so I used that as well!!!
I've used: Paper -Whisper White, Cameo Coral, Wild Wasabi and Close to Coco Ink - Cameo Coral and Wild Wasabi Stamp Set - Up, up and away! Other: White embossing powder, Twine, Circle punch and Scalloped circle punch
