Sorry....

Sorry about my absence here but with the move and no internet I haven't had the time or the means! It will take a few more days (at the earliest) before we get an internet connection and I'll be able to use the internet easily.

It really sucks all the things you have to organise when you move! Phone, internet, electricity.......and the list goes on. What's really annoying is all the companies have asked us to be there for the connection, which means time off work. This is really hard when I've also been out and about for work. Grrrrr it's just so frustrating. To make things worse I'm finding our new property manager to be very different to our old one.........lets just say I'm not getting the quick response I'm used to. Grrrrrrr more frustration!!!!!!!!!!!

Next month is going to be much worse for keeping up the blogging as there will be a few weeks when I'm traveling to northern QLD. So I'm hoping to keep my posting up but I may not get a chance to do as much as I would like. With all this travel it also means that I won't be able to do as much crafting either :(

I've set up my new crafting space but haven't had time to use it yet as I've been busy unpacking and cleaning up our old rental - which took way more time than I thought it would.

So since I haven't had time to make anything new here is a little pic of a set of Birthday cards that I made before the move with the new birdy from the Happy Moments set AND the new 3 in colours.

I hope all of you are having a wonderful long weekend and especially to all the Australians who have a nice long weekend.

Picture Perfect Creations Colour Combo #9

Sorry this post is a bit late but with moving and travel I haven't had a chance to do it before now.

This week’s colour challenge over at Picture Perfect Creations is using the colours Whisper White, Garden Green, Bashful Blue and Brilliant Blue.

I’ve always been told that Blue and Green should never be seen unless there is something in between – so this card doesn’t sit very well with me!

I've used:
Paper - Whisper White, Garden Green, Bashfull Blue and Brilliant Blue
Ink - Garden Green and Brilliant Blue
Stamp Set - Great Grad
Other: Nestablilities and white eyelets

Here is the colour pallet

I've used:

Paper - Very Vanilla, Chocolate Chip textured cs from my stash and Creamy Caramel
Ink - Chocolate Chip and Creamy Caramel
Stamp Set - Forest Friends and Heard from the Heart
Other: Ribbon from my stash

Back from Easter break

I hope every one had a wonderful Easter break filled with lots and lots of chocolate!!

T and I had a great time camping for 4 days at the beach with family and friends. It was very relaxing and nice to spend some time away from the 'routine' of every day life.
However I was very glad to come home and have a decent shower and wash my hair properly to get out all of the sand.

One of our Easter traditions that I've kept since I was a little girl is to paint real hard boiled eggs. I remember when it wasn't about all the chocolate eggs and I loved all the hand painted eggs we received. I'm hoping that when I have children that this is something that they will enjoy too and carry on in their life time.

Do you have any Easter traditions?? I'd love to hear about them.

I can't say I've had the time to paint my eggs as exquisitely as this picture but you get the idea.

Oh and I received my little bundle of Easter goodness from the Stampin Up bunny. YAY
I can't wait to try out these new colours from the new Autumn-Winter mini catalogue.
Mellon Mambo looks divine!
Also Stampin Up have introduced new clear mount rubber stamps so I'm super keen to ink them up and see what they are like. They are going to be so easy to store in the new dvd sized cases.

I'll have to show you what I come up with!!!!!!!!!!!!

Picture Perfect Creations Colour Combo #6

What a super interesting colour combo at Picture Perfect Creations this week!!!

We don't have Dusty Durango here in Australia so I've used Really Rust instead. When I started out I thought these colours don't really look very girly but I think I've done a pretty good job into turning them into a feminine card.

I've used:
Paper - Always Artichoke, Mellow Moss, Really Rust and Very Vanilla
Ink - Really Rust
Stamp Set - Pocket Silhouettes
Other: Green Button, Always Artichoke Ribbon, Scallop and Round punches

Fearured on Liz Wares Blog

How exciting I'm being featured on Liz Wares blog today!!

(Well I'm probably a wee bit early as it's probably not posted just yet, but I'm off camping for the Easter break and just wanted to let you know this exciting news before I left!)

She also makes some cute jewelry here at Etsy.

Here is a little excerpt from her profile
"I started my Etsy store because I wanted to share a piece of me with the world.
I like creating my jewelry and didn't want it to just sit around. By selling my works
on Etsy my pieces can have an adventure as part of YOUR collection."

Pop on over to see pictures of my crafting space. I love having a sticky at where other people craft. Some people have the most wonderful storage ideas and some people have the most amazingly huge areas to craft in. I'm pretty happy where I am at the moment taking up half the spare room and T has the other half for his computer. I actually enjoy nights when we are in there together, even though we may not be talking much it's just nice to be with him!

Although my space is going to change soon as we are looking to move houses, closer to the city. Most houses we have looked at don't have the lovely shelving space that this one does. One day when we own our own place I'll be able to do what ever I like and put things where I want them, but for now I just have to make do with what I can.

I'd love to see your crafty/storage space - leave a link in the comments so I can check it out!

ok so before you go over to her blog here is a little sneak peek of what you'll see of my craft room

Curtain Call Color Challenge: Act 23

WOW what an interesting mix of colours in this weeks Curtain Call Color Challenge.
I found it really hard to work with the basic black as I hardly ever use it. (so I've used it so sparingly)
The inspiration picture looked very classy and I wanted to recreate that look on my card.
What do you think?????

I've used:
Paper - Whisper White, Pretty in Pink and Bella Bleu DSP
Ink - Pretty in Pink
Stamp Set - Heard from the heart
Other: Pretty in Pink ribbon, Cuttle Black brads
